The results of the American Mathematical Modeling Contest (MCM/ICM) in 2017 were announced recently. The CUFE team, consisting of Yang Yuqi and Wang Lingrui, stood out in Problem C, MCM from 1527 teams and won the Finalist Winners’ Award. Another CUFE team made up by Wang Kexin, Li Jiafeng and Hu Jiayi also won this award defeating numerous teams among 3621 ones participating in Problem E, ICM. Additionally, there were other 29 CUFE teams winning the First Prize and 96 teams winning the Second Prize in the MCM/ICM contest.
