Round Table Discussion on Global Trade Governance and China’s Role was held in CUFE on March 25th. Well-known experts and scholars from domestic universities and scientific research institutions had a discussion on the new problems, new features and new changes of global trade governance as well as its derivative problems of what China can do to contribute its wisdom to and play its role in global trade governance reform.
The round table discussion reached consensus on the dilemma of multilateral trade governance and China’s strategy, the development and trend of global economic and trade rules and the new changes of global trade governance system.Moreover, participants also agreed that China should promote reform in the course of opening-up to positively took part in the rule-making of global economic and trade. What’s more, lots of targeted policy suggestions were offered by participants on what China can do to cope with problems of anti-globalization and protectionism in international trade, to take effects on multilateral trade system and to play its role on global trade governance and so on.
